I want to know if there are rules or guidelines as to what makes up an artist trading card!
Any experts here? Thanks..

If you are wondering about ATCs, I would like to direct you to the article posted here at Digital Art Quirks:

There is but one rule to any ATC - it must be 2.5" x 3.5" - that's the only rule you need to remember - LOL

One more rule. ATCs are designed to be traded only, not sold. It makes me so mad when I see them for sale on E-Bay. I hope folks are selling their own, and not ones they've traded for.

Okay, this may sound like a no-brainer, but as someone who has never swapped these before... Do we also print the credits on the backs of these? I have looked at the article and also at several ATC sites, and no one mentions anything about credits, that I can see. If it's standard practice to leave them off, that's okay with me, but I would hate to offend any designers by doing so if it's not the standard. Thanks for the advice!

I think that is the artist's choice--sometimes I have and sometimes I haven't. Maybe I always should! Sometimes I just wait and post the credits when I post the card in the gallery...
Hmmm...any other thoughts?

If I post in public and the image is not over 100 years old, I post credits. If it is just for swapping with friends, I don't usually credit it - perhaps I should start.

I personally do not put the credits on the card, but try to keep track for when I post in the gallery. And as everyone here can attest, for some reason, I don't do a very good job of that on the ATCs! Whereas on my layouts I'm meticulous!
