I first read about this a year ago, when I was first starting in digital design. I have mulled over getting involved with a "match", but honestly, I'm a little scared! LOL :)

Has anybody ever participated in a match? Would anybody be interested here? For more info, check out: http://www.urbancollective.com/tennis.jsp

Tammy, it sounds interesting. I'd be willing to give it a try. I guess we'd have to use something like YouSendIt to exchange the file. Otherwise, it will be too big for regular e-mail.

This sounds like a real challenge, because everyone's ideas are so different, but I would be happy to give it a go if anyone wants to partner me. I am away in mid April for two weeks, though.

This reminds me of the ATC Jam we did not too long ago with just three people passing a card around from person to person. We had a theme.

I've been thinking about this challenge. It might even make it more interesting if we exchanged jpg's instead of PSD's. That's the way it would work in real life. Once something is placed down on paper, it can't be moved. It can only be manipulated. Switching to jpgs make it easy to exchange files without zipping (which can be such a hassle.) Any thoughts?

I think I might be able to ease up a corner in real life to slip something underneath, but we could make it a rule that we aren't allowed to do that. You are right, it would make it easier to send jpegs

I know it might be a hassle to send big files through the services, but I think that's part of the whole appeal of PS Tennis... being able to manipulate what someone else did to fit your own design. I mean, I've seen some Tennis matches where each new creation only had one tiny bit of the previous image, but it still worked.

I think a small image might help keep the files small as well. We could limit the final size to 4x4" or something, to keep everything uniform and small. That way, also, those of us who want to print them out can do so with several to a page (always thinking about those $30 ink cartridges! ;))

Ideas, feedback? If I can get a count of how many people want to do this, I can get started picking a stock base image, and we can pair up!
