I'm 33 years old and suddenly my monthly has this whole new spin. For about 3 days, I feel like I'm pregnant. Nauseous, bloated, tender breasts, grumpy. IT's just like the first months of pregnancy. For three months straight, I thought I was pregnant, till I realized it was a new PMS symptom. this is NOT a good joke.

So incidently, 2 AM and I'm still awake, writing these notes to all of you. Why, cause if I'm in the bed, my back hurts, like a pregnant back would. It's crazy!

That doesn't sound like fun at all. :( Hope you feel better!

I hope you feel better too - I haven't had that, but I definitely have had changes in my symptoms over the years. The good news is that sometimes I get weird symptoms for a while and then they go away - hope that happens for you too!

That is just yuck! Sorry to hear you are feeling crappy. I haven't had those symptoms. I hope you are feeling better today.

Well I ended up getting about 2 hours sleep, but all things considered, I'm not feeling too bad. Actually being pregnant would be better. At least I'd get a snuggle bug out of it. Aw, the joys of femininity.

Hope you get a little more sleep tonight!! (((hugs)))

My cycles and hormonal mood swings are truly long and crazy, especially since my last son was born. But, I have never had the symptoms you're describing. I hope they go away soon...

thanks ladies for your sympathetic thougts. I'm sure I'll get by, but it is fun to whine to women who can relate to the woes of monthly cycles

Snuggle bugs are good things! Makes me want more but we are done!

Ursula, do be sure to get a check-up with your gyn. Could be a reason for the change. I had a cyst on my ovary (nothing to worry about) that caused pretty much the same symptoms. Hope you get more sleep tonight!

Wish a little hypnotic suggestion could help: you are getting sleepy, very very sleepy. You need to curl up with a heating pad, a good book. Sleepy, sleepy.

Oh Cathy, I guess you're right, I should go see my doc. that's usually the last thing I do. I hate that whole lay down and spread em' thing! Yuck! Hypnosis sounds better.

My question is ... are you consuming enough chocolate? I think that may have something to do with it... :D

I have months when things are abnormal too... I even did the "OMG.. I think I might be pregnant!" Then I wasn't ... *sigh* Is it possible that our hormones are this outta wack already? LOL

The chocolate is key. Chocolate will make ANYTHING feel better. I promise.

But I'd rather eat pizza, and I had that today, and it didn't help. Wah!

Ursula - your irregular symptoms sounds like my regular ones - LOL - baring the nausea. I did have that added though, about two years ago, for about five months - I used to feel queasy and unsettled and would throw up all the time - total ick fest!

I hope it settles down for you

Well, it's nice to know I'm not the only one, sometimes it makes you worry when your body starts going nuts on you. But I'm convinced that hormones have that effect quite often.
