Hi everyone,
I tried to upload a photo just now, same way I always do, 8x8, 72 dpi, and you can see its nothing more than a black box. I tried it 12x12 at 72 dpi to see if that was the problem. Still nothing.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Sorry.......ARGH!!!!!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Anna

Anna,
Is there a full moon tonight? I have had the same problem at 2 othe sites and it's so frustrating.
Hope you get your uploading issue resolved... Good luck!

Me too! I've tried 3 x to upload today, it says upload successful but they're going to some secret spot, I guess....they never show up! Yep - must be the full moon!

I didn't have any problem uploading tonight. I do 500x500 jpgs.

I always do 600 x 600 jpg at 124K. Same idea as Donna. I use image, resize and get it to 2 x 2 (regardless of original image size unless, of course it is an irregular shape in which case I make the longest side be the 2 in) and then use optimize file size option in the Save for Web palette to 125K.
Works for me. The only thing I have noticed is that the upload page is way way off to the right of my screen and I have to scroll over to use it. A minor annoyance that must have something to do with a header change or the like in the past couple of months.
I think if your original size is 8 x 8 you have to bring that down regardless of if you meet the 200K limit or not. Otherwise, your photo is going to knock the stuffing out of the gallery table where all the others are at 2 inches or 1.5 inches if you know what I mean.
So, please try resizing your image to maximum 600 pixels along the longest length and 199K or less for byte size.
Let us know if that works!

Hi there everyone,
It still is not working. You can see in my gallery where I tried to submit this image as a .jpg in various sizes. Big, small, everything...none of them worked. I don't know what to do. sigh.............

An easy way to do this is to go to File, Save for Web. Once your image has loaded, click on the Image Size tab, and put in the desired size on top of the largest number (the program will automatically resize the other sides). Hit "apply" and then save.
Hope this works.
