I saw a few comments on my ATCs that said others might try their hands at some LOTR cards (*geeks!*), so I figured I'd save Mishou the trouble and start the thread. Hope that's okay!

BTW, if anyone is interested, you can get all kinds of cool LOTR fonts on some of the free sites. If you go to www.dafont.com there's actually a whole section called 'Runes, Elvish' under the 'Dingbats' column. They've also got stuff like 'Bilbo's Hand' etc . . .All very cool for LOTR artquirks :)
And if you're feeling particularly geeky, you can even translate some words into Elvish using this dictionary: Nevrast (http://www.nevrast.net/dictionary.html)
Okay I think that's enough nerd talk for one day LOL

Last time I watched the sequel I was able to finish an artsy look to my walls with brown paint and a fancy stamp! Came out pretty cool and every time I see it (every day) I fondly think of the LOTR soundtrack which inspired me so!:D

I watch LOTR DVD's with my granddaughters when they come over, all the Star Wars DVD's too. I have an excellent excuse to watch all kinds of fun stuff because of them! :)

I need no excuse at all. I watch them all by myself. REPEATEDLY. It's so bad. I can recite a lot of the dialogue even. Eeeeesh.

I don't need an excuse to watch them either. But now I just remembered that the soundtrack to Return of the King could give me some inspiration for what I'm working on today. I love Howard Shore!

I think this soundtrack is one of the most inspiring for me. Although The Last of The Mohicans is pretty powerful too!!

Auuggg, just back from golf school. Even my fingernails hurt. (Where is the Advil? Yes, I need more!). Can't believe this thread is happening. Will have to reread it when I am not crippled by pain. My poor body has been so ABUSED for three days. I could do a Gollum layout--

I always think of myself as Raven and have always been Raven (my avatar was a Raven) but a couple of places had Raven taken so I went with Nevermore as the fallback. There was one thread where you'd posted something and Amy said she always thought of you as Raven when she saw your posts. I said I had too. So in my mind you shall always be Raven and I will call you that if you are ok with it. :)
Eeek now that I go back and read my other post, it makes NO SENSE! I knew what I was trying to say at the time and my fingers must've been befuddled. I have no other excuse. I must go quirk now. :)

So who's interested in doing an actual LOTR ATC swap? We can each pick a character or something along those lines? Anybody? Any suggestions!!
Well, I think I got Krista all in a muddle. I was actually referring to Nevermore's chosen name of Raven when I started called her that. Because I don't know her "real" name, and Raven is shorter than Nevermore. :rolleyes: And I love that name. But it was all due to the renaming ceremony, honestly. I did not have the wit to make the connection on my own.
And anyone feel free to do whatever you'd like for the LOTR ATCs!! You can check out the Lost Digital Share to get an idea of what everyone there did. I am planning several more pairs (pair?) of ATCs showing the contrasts in the characters. But I'm pretty sure anything goes!

I am going to be working on several LOTR ATC's over the weekend. I grabbed a bunch of photos online to use. I started playing with one set last night but ran out of steam since it was late (I spent too much time gabbing on the forums here, LOL). Stay tuned for LOTR fun and games from me soon.

I am so so so so so so tempted but I am going to hang tough and continue with my ATC*ABC. I still have 50 to do and since I would like them to incorporate new techniques, that is quite a big project. But rest assured I will be on the sidelines cheering! Madly!
