I'll be the first to admit I'm not a crack seamstress but with the advent of inkjet printable fabric sheets, digital artists now have the possibility of incorporating their creations into cool fabric art and home decor. Anyone with an interest or experience in this area - please do share :)

Here's some links to start off with:

Fabric Printing Technical Articles (http://www.cjenkinscompany.com/Jerome_s_Column_s/13.htm) by the makers of Bubble Jet Set which is a popular fabric treatment for inkjet printed textiles.

Color Textiles Idea Gallery (http://www.colortextiles.com/gallery.html) - cool idea gallery from this maker of inkjet printable fabric sheets.

dharma trading (http://www.dharmatrading.com/transferring_designs.html) Sells transfer sheets and idea books

Poly Silk Inkjet Sheets (http://www.adorama.com/IPIS1319.html?sid=11486060591015666) Supposedly more like silk

Vintage Workshop (http://www.thevintageworkshop.com/store/index.php?cPath=24_30) Inkjet printable fabric sheets.

I haven't done anything with printable fabric, but I do love fabric. Used to be an avid quilter. Now, I'm not really doing much with the sewing, but I think one day I'll go back to it. I tend to get deep into a craft for a while then move on, but each new thing adds another element to my reportoire.

I'm more of a textile artist in the form of freeform crochet - haven't tried any printing techniques yet but will, once we have our lovely printer set up

Thanks for setting up this textile art thread.
I am still finding my way around her, but I will post some of the pieces I have done that might be suitable for the list.
