I am a flying Frenzy right now trying to make up time for my 3 days off. Trying to do all those chores that are so in my face! No time, no time, no time. Very frustrated with my hair, just had it cut and the darn bangs were down to my nose already so I just grabbed the scissors and hacked them off. Holy Cow! Yikes! Heaven help me if I meet myself at the bottom of the stairs (don't have this one down right yet, it is some strange Brittish expression).
(small voice) Why do I do these things? Have changed "schedule hair appointment" from a "things to do" to "EMERGENCY: BOOK HAIR APPOINTMENT!!".

Impulse driven self inflicted hair cuts are very bad. Barrettes may be necessary to see you thru.

I see a quirk emerging here about hair emergencies. I hope you didn't run into yourself at the bottom of the stairs, Raven. :p

I did the same thing the morning they took my freshman pictures in high school. There had to be an inch's worth of difference between the bangs on the right side of my head and the left side of my head. Yukk!!!
The good news is that it will grow back. :-)

lol, had to laugh so hard, I can just imagine how it looks, just make a picture, make a quirky lo of it, and have a good laugh about it after it grows back. the hair dresser will fix it so no worries, unless there is nothing to fix and you have to wait till it grows back. I am sorry i have to laugh:D , but I thought this was so funny.
good luck, it will all be okay.

LOL - I did that a few weeks ago at work - I just grabbed the scissors and cut off the annoying bits of my fringe (down to my chin!) - it actually turned out okay, much to my surprise - LOL

Oh I feel your pain, I have many times felt the urge to clip off a few locks of my own and I am always sooo sorry!

The good thing about my short hair, I guess...nothing to cut myself! Hope you can get in for a fix really soon!
I also have random moments of self-inflicted haircuts. My latest still hasn't been remedied. However, my hair looks much better than the haircut I *paid* for that I had to fix by myself. Sigh.

Re: the importance of communicating with your hairdresser. Today, when I sat down in the chair, I muttered to my stylist (whom I've been with for 25 years), "I wouldn't mind trying something different now that it's summer." She said, "Let's go warmer." I thought blonde highlights would be good, so I said okay.
Turns out that "going warmer" means becoming a flaming redhead in stylist-speak. Now, I've nothing but admiration for redheads, but I've had blondish-brown hair my whole life.
I deserve an acting award. I didn't scream, jump up and down, or tear at my hair. Once I explained the misunderstanding, she laughed and recolored. Now, I'm a brownette with red highlights.
My husband wants me to tell you all that it was a "hair-owing" experience. :p

Dang, Donna, wish you had taken a picture!
Oh, your hubby is so punny! lol! That must have been quite the shock seeing your hair. I would have been seeing red. :D

OMG, that sounds like my kindergarten picture. My mom cut my bangs at an angle and they were supposed to be swept to the side. My teacher combed them down straight, so I look totally off-kilter.

Anyone who can speak in good puns is a winner in my book.

I have done that several times and it's not pretty! One time my brother did it when I was supposed to be babysitting him, just hacked off his bangs. He had to get a buzz cut after that. I was in so much trouble for not watching him, but I was reading as always.:D

Sogren, I understand re the reading. I was not allowed to read anywhere except in my bedroom for a while because I would do things like turn on the kettle and then...ooops and stuff like that. My parents were terrified I was going to bring on total disaster because when I read, I disappeared off the planet!

It's so easy to become completely caught up in a good book though, isn't it?

Was for me! My brother was always setting things on fire and stuff too. I didn't know. One time he mixed a buncha stuff with oven cleaner. Whoa.

I did that with popcorn once. Put some oil in the bottom of the pot, turned it on to preheat before I added the kernals and started to read. Got the pot to the sink, but the flames melted the curtains. My Mom was SO not impressed, but we got it all cleaned up before my Dad got home.
Flaming red-heads and crooked haircuts. Hmmm - going to be a fun weekend!
