I have to give a shout out to Robyn (happyrobyn) for her suggestions for this month's mail swap. She is just so clever! I picked this one, June Bugs, because I thought it would be fun to see what you all could do with a buggy theme! Anything goes: things with wings, things that crawl--whatever! Or maybe you want to go with something that BUGS you! LOL! Whatever you decide to do is A-OK. Just have fun!

If you would like to participate in this snail mail ATC swap, please send an email to me (mailto:webchyck@comcast.net) with the subject: JUNE SWAP. Please include your name, mailing address and email address. You have until midnight Eastern on June 7th to sign up. On the 8th everyone who has registered will receive a list of all the other artists with whom they will be trading. You will then have until June 30th to create, print, and mail your artist trading cards to the other participants. (Keep postal rates in mind before you sign up as you are responsible for mailing the cards yourself. If we have enough participants in a particular country, we can group them together, otherwise it will be an international endeavor.) Each swap group will have no more than 9 participants (including yourself). You may create one ATC based on the theme and replicate it for everyone or you may create nine unique ATCs to send out. You may also use any combination of paper and digital you like for this swap.

Okay, that's the scoop. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Now, let's get buggy!

Been working on my June ATC today and wanted to share that QuoteGarden has a nice section with insect/bug related quotes (http://www.quotegarden.com/insects.html). Just don't anyone use the third one from the top or I'll be really bugged!

You are too much woman! Beehave!!!

I have my layout for my card all done in my head! Oh it's going to be fun to see if I can make it turn out like I think it will. If not, I have a backup plan B!

Well, I hope you can get the page to worm it's way out of your brain.

(okay, okay, worms aren't technically bugs, but they are creepy-crawly!)

I hope so, too because it's really bugging me!

You better get down on paper before it flies away!

No clever bug phrases, however, I do get hives when I'm cold and I've been bitten by a recluse twice!

So, you don't have fond feelings towards the bugs, then, eh, Ursula? I'm guessing we will get something interesting from YOU this go around! We're at five now, folks! You've got 'til midnight eastern on the 7th to join this colony of worker bees!

For anyone interested in the June swap, in case you haven't seen it, there is an article here at DAQ (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/articles/article_atc_becky_march2006.htm)that goes over the history and details of ATC exchanges. I just thought I would link to it, in case you haven't seen it.

Okay, my little buglets! We are hours away from closing out this month's mail swap registration. You have until midnight Eastern (9 p.m. Pacific where I am), to sign up. So far, we have 7 participants! That's pretty good--two more would get us a full group.

Hey, I want to point out, in case you already have the kit, that the Ethan's Hope Charity Kit at Elemental Scraps (http://www.elementalscraps.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16&products_id=176) has some cute bug stuff in it. I'm not telling you my very favorite bug kit, though, since I used it! LOL! Find your own dang bugs! hardy har har!

I love my Outlook reminders. I've actually got mine set up to remind me to drink water every two hours!

When I first looked at this, my eye stopped right after the word "drink," so I was thinking, "Hmmmm... she might need help if she's making herself drink every two hours..." THEN I saw the rest of her sentence....
