Okay, over in this thread (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=9) SteinwaysMom made a great suggestion for a journaling prompt, so in honor of our grand opening, I think it's only fitting that we take her suggestion to heart and journal about what makes us QUIRKY! So, get out your keyboard or your pen and make a list of all the things that make you quirky--aim for 43 things! That's just a quirky number (and my age), so that's your goal.
What do you think QUIRKINESS is anyway? We have a great resource in our FAQ (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/faq.htm) to help jumpstart your thinking on the subject, so check it out.
Let's get QUIRKY!!!

Thanks Becky, this one is going to be fun! 43 things is a lot to aim for but I'll do my quirkiest :)

Okay, so this sounded fun but man is it hard! I'm up to 28 and I've hit a brick wall. LOL! It's fun though cuz you look at your list after and think "hey, I really am pretty quirky!" LOL!

So does it make me quirky that I have this NEED to sleep on my left side for half the night and my right the other half? Or that I have a "Reminder Walrus" in my car? Ahhhh ... numbers 1 and 2 - DONE! Only 41 to go. This shouldn't be hard for me and if I hit a brick wall, I'll just ask my husband what annoys him about me and he'll spout off about 100 without thinking very hard!!

LOL Robyn! Thanks for giving me ideas! It totally didn't occur to me to bring up my sleeping habits! And what the heck is a Reminder Walrus!? LOL!

I'm pretty sure that once you hit about 13 quirky things on a list, you already qualify for the QUIRKY factor, so anything after that just determines the DEPTH of your quirkiness. If it's 28, well, then you're only MOSTLY quirky. LOL! If you get up to 43...we may have to send the monkeys after you.

Well I think the monkeys are already after me so I'm not too worried about that LOL! I think I might stop where I am and make a layout and then do Volume II when I think of more.

What n'the hell is a Reminder Walrus:confused: I think you should feature him in a layout!

In the works my dear quirks! I took his picture yesterday. Now to find some time to scrap Wally!

I don't know if I'm very quirky...I can only come up with one thing so far: I use beach towels instead of bath towels to dry off! I like them better--they're thinner, longer, and to me, absorb better. I think that's kind of quirky, don't you?

No comment my quirky friend! My DD prefers her Barbie beach towel. What does your have on it?!

Well, I have a Winnie the Pooh one, a Pittsburgh Steelers one, a plain one from the Martha Stewart Collection at K-Mart, a Toy Story one, and one with Elmo and Zoe on it. Pretty sad, huh?

Drying off with Jack every morning ... hmmmm ... something to think about!!

Oh, no! I came up with 14 without even trying. :p This is fun. I'm just thinking up things that make my kids raise their eyebrows.
I'm up to 22 and have soooo many ideas for pages now. This is a fun little exercise.
And I am LOL about your collection of Beach Towels. I can't wait to see that layout. ;)

I must be the Quirky Queen. Finished my list and added a few more to bring the number up to 47 (my age). Now to figure out how to use all that info in a layout.
This was a fun exercise and therapeutic as well. Gotta come to terms with my own weirdness. :p

Way to go Donna! I'm still at 28 LOL! Can't wait to see your layout! Hmmm . . .maybe a two-pager? I know that's a lot of stuff to fit on one. I was wondering myself how the heck I was gonna pull that off! LOL

Finally started a layout with my quirks. Only had room for ten, though. Here it is: http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=631&cat=500&ppuser=50

I will have to ask my family and friends about my quirks, I have had them so long they seem normal to me!
happyrobyn

I think everything I do is perfectly normal. It's just all of the other people in the world that have quirks!

You lot really are barking! I love the idea of Lost beach towels , lol. There could be a market for Lost umbrellas too!
I shall try this and post it on my blog - I'm not sure I could manage a LO! It requires a whole journal, I'm thinking.

Oh, just found this, gonna have to give it a go, but I'm having trouble coming up with WHAT makes me quirky. I think I just AM. Better go check out the quirktionary I guess.

I just started reading through the forum and this thread jumped out at me. After reading and laughing a lot, I decided to see how quirky my list is... I'll have to keep thinking of things because I only came up with 5 in the first minute. So, off to read more forum threads and try to come up with more "quirky me" things for my list.
