aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuggggg, typed a huge post and pressed something and it disappeared. New keyboard. Forget it. Was just saying hi in my Raven esque take 600 words to do so and then, voila, all gone. I was telling you how I was getting used to my new machine and keyboard but I guess not. Premature exhultation.

I'm so sorry to hear of your keyboard woes. I can only imagine how poetically you waxed, how brilliantly you opined, how beautifully you regaled. I'm sure it was novelic. (Is that a word? If not, it should be and I decided it is now.)

Um ... that sucks! Is that poetic enough for you? I'm on vacation Ms. Raven but I warned you I may take you by surprise. Anytime, anywhere!
She's so Raven
no that's too childish
She's a bird
have you heard?
she knows a lot of words
that I don't understand
she's never bland
just real smart
like Einstein
or all of those other smart people
I can't even pronounce their names
they can do Trig in their sleep
makes me weep
Cause I don't know if x=y
makes me wanna cry
I don't know why
But back to Raven
she's a keener
have you seen her?
A cool Canadian, eh?
That's what I say!
Love those Canucks!
Even the Upper Canadian types
All into hockey
and poutine
and ketchup flavored potato chips
and a 2-4 refers to beer
and lots of their words have extra U's in them (like flavour and colour)
and they love fromage!
SHI+! Nothing rhymes with fromage
Unless you're French.
Gotta ask Mishou
Cause I only know Espanol
so adios gotta go!

Dang, girl, if we ever have a Quirk Fest meet & greet, you gotta perform some of your slams! LOL! It would be SO fun!
Hey, Keen Raven, sorry about your keyboard woes! Keep at it, soon you'll not even remember these days and your new computer will be an old friend!

I haven't thought of a suitable reply for Robyn yet... I am sure something is brewing deep in the heart (of Texas)...

How did you know ... I am DEEP in the heart of Texas right now! On vacation in San Antonio. Having fun and can't wait for your response Raven! LOL!

A Quirk Fest! Oooohhhh FUN! Hopefully no one would end up in the slammer at our slam!

Good grief, a quirk fest meet and greet? Can you imagine what that would be like? LOL If we're this crazy on message boards . . . .I shudder to think . . .

We would probably get kicked out of any establishment we tried to meet in. Perhaps we better just keep this between digital networks.

Scary to contemplate. So much quirkiness in one place might send the earth spinning off-axis or something...

We'd all have to bring our laptops with us, of course. We could talk and quirk at the same time. Multi-tasking at its finest.

I would have to bring my laptop. I would be the one in the pin striped suit and hornrimmed glasses. I can't quirk without my computer....

Well, I guess I can't come...no laptop.

Well, since we're planning, what kind of quirky place would have us? I would definitely travel to hear Robyn recite. :)

I think we'd probably be better off in Canada...we can't go to Texas, that's for sure...they would NOT be havin' any of that quirk stuff down there.

Well, if ya'all come to Canada we will be sure to serve poutine and chips with vinegar. Might even scrounge up a 24. If we are heading to the US we better do it before they close down the border because I am sure my passport has expired...I can handle the border security but not sure I can handle the beaurocracy (sp. definitely incorrect)involved in getting a new passport. Not to mention that it is the LAW that we cannot smile on passport photos. Now, I make it a point to smile as little as possible except, of course, when someone tells me it is against the law....

DH went to Vancouver BC last year and had no problem getting on the plane to get there with just a driver's license, but found out he needed his birth certificate or passport to get back into the U.S. GRRRR! He had no idea where he's birth certificate was and no passport! But, fortunately, when he got there to check in, he happened to have a worker that had gone to the same college he did! LOL! Let him through! Whew! We had a few tense moments during THAT week wondering what was going to happen.

Yes - you are correct! I went to a very non-quirky university and had to hide my quirk side. Unless, of course, too many 24's were being served. LOL! Texas is a bit non-quirkish. Just look at our current President. I love him dearly, but quirky he is not! Let's go to the quirkiest place on earth ... NEWFOUNDLAND! As a Nova Scotian (Haligonian to be more specific) for 6 years, I came to know and love those poor Newfs! We could all kiss the cod and recite poetry to our hearts content. With town names like "Come By Chance" I don't think they would have any problem with our gutter brains!
A note of explanation: a Newfie tradition involving alcohol and a codfish. When you go into a bar in Newfoundland, you may be asked to "kiss the cod." You will then take a large swallow of screech (rum), and actually kiss a codfish!

That was no codfish, that was the bartender's daughter...

I'm ready to go! Do I need to bring my own toque? (Is that how it's spelled?)

I've always considered myself secretly Canadian, so I am there. Eh.

Jes - I'll bring a toque, too! Or NYC sounds awesome! But we could get in some serious trouble there!
