We have got some exciting new developments in the works for those of you who have gone through the naming ceremony process!
First, thank you for being so patient with us while we work all these kinks out! This has totally been a learning process and we're so happy you're sticking through it with us! I think it's gonna be worth it in the end!
So here is the new info:
- Completing the naming ceremony process is the act which initiates you into the website. Initiates become full members of the community, a group which will now go by the name of Kindred Quirks. As a member of The Kindred you are entitled to a very special blinkie created individually for each member by the totally fabulous and amazing Robyn England. Wear this blinkie with pride! And wear it anywhere you like. It is your badge of membership to the coolest gang there is! To get your blinkie, follow this LINK (http://robynengland.com/kindred/).
- Once you are initiated, you are eligible to join a tribe. The tribal system will be different than previously explained. We are still working on the details but it will have nothing to do with the group of people you went through the naming ceremony with, joining will be totally optional, and measures are in place to prevent any appearance of clique-ness whatsoever. The sole purpose of these tribes will be for playing fun activities and challenges with each other. It is not necessary to join a tribe to "belong" to the site. We are all members of The Kindred, and that bond takes precedence over any tribal allegiances that may be formed in the future.
- As a small token of our appreciation and as a welcoming gift, every person who joins the Kindred will receive a free kit of goodies donated by a few of our crew and members. I should have this zipped and ready to go over the weekend.
So that's all I have for you right now. Stay tuned for the tribal stuff. Maybe this weekend. I've been home sick with the flu the last couple of days so I'm behind on everything.
And please don't forget to thank Robyn for the blinkies :) I asked her to make ONE blinkie. And I made a joke the other day about how "The Kindred" sounded so eerie, almost like a horror movie, and that it was too bad there was no way to add creepy horror music to a blinkie! LOL So what does she do? She creates a whole stinking website, complete with horror movie music, and then goes and makes an individual blinkie for each person!!! Is she the best or what!?
