That those signature "thingies" (is that the technical term?) in a lot of postings are great! I can't figure out how you got them. They look like the headers for the forum with that wonderful Einstein face... And I sure would like one. Is there a secret to that????

Hey Victoria, you are welcome to snag the DAQ blinkie if you like! Robyn England (a.k.a. happyrobyn) made them for us. You just have to right click on it to save it. Do you know how to get it in your signature line after? If not just post here again and someone will walk you through it. It's easy peasy :)
If you want a fancy personalized one though you'll have to go through the naming ceremony ritual . .. . which I highly recommend by the way :) Once you're settled in here you should check it out!

Mishou,
Thanks for the reply, and YES, I'm in the Naming Group #3 just waiting for it to fill up so I can become a full fledged member of the DigiQuark team... I'm off to collect me neat-o tagline now....

I wouldn't dream of snagging someone's personal, primary, quirk name tag. Who would do such a thing????
But, thank you Robin, I'll snag one of the others and hope I can get a chance to set it up correctly in my siggy. I'm just waiting for Group #3 to fill up so I can get my DQ name and PERSONAL quirk name tag (which I don't want to share with anyone else either!!!).
What a great place this is. I'm loving every minute.

Well, I'm not sure you're ready for the Hard At Quirk blinkie either, Victoria...I mean, have you posted your mojo beverage of choice yet? hmmmm....??? Robyn, I believe, takes her inspiration with Margaritas; and I will take anything citrusy: Lemon Drops, Screwdrivers or Mojitos! LOL:rolleyes: (You know I'm quirking your chain, right?)

Perhaps I'll go grab a Green Apple Smirnoff "Malt Beverage" right now! It's pretty warm and that's sure to get me quirking!

Robyn, what is up with that avatar you've got going on? Oh my gosh--it's like something out of Sid's room in Toy Story!

So I'm sitting here researching the cause of the pain in my lower back and thigh and I just self-diagnose myself with a herniated disk. Signs: hurts worse when coughing, sneezing, or laughing. Then my email chimes in and I see that you have responded to this thread. So I check your response and start hysterically laughing causing the newly-diagnosed herniated disk to flare up causing me to cry in pain through the tears of my laughter! I hope this is good entertainment for you missy! Now back to the question at hand ... must have had too many margaritas when I made my kissy doll!

Dolls with lost eyes? Exploding planes? Get thee to a doctor, Robyn.
Seriously, back pain is absolutely no fun. Hope you're better soon.

So should I go to the mental doctor or chiropractor first??!!

Dear Robyn, since you aren't seeing fish or skulls, you are probably more mentally stable than most people here so I suggest go straight to the chiropractor. Now, I am of an age where memories start mushing together (except what happened in grade 3 type thing which I remember with crystal clarity) but why do I think your doll is named Chuckie? Can you help me with that?
happyrobyn
06-29-2006, 07:41 PM
Her name is Daisy and she is not missing an eye ... she is winking!!!

So sorry, she just reminds me of a Chuckie I must have known (hopefully in a former life).

Yeah - I guess she does look a bit like the doll in the Chuckie movies!

Smacks beak with feathers: okay, okay, there were Chuckie movies! I am not losing my mind.

All this talk about sanity (are you for it or against it?), and meanwhile there's an "I've gone MAD" blinkie flashing at us.

I have no response to that!

This is delightful--in the space of a couple of weeks both Robyn and Kim have been made speechless. But please remember, Willow was the first to see the fish...

We can't have a speechless Merry Messenger. But, Robyn, the truth is that I think you're just as sane as the rest of us. ;) (I would love to cackle madly at this point, but there are some things you just can't do well on the computer.)

My back hurts, too--a lot around my neck, actually. This sitting at the computer thing is not so good for the ol' bod. It probably causes eyestrain that affects one's ability to properly discern an artist's intent, as well, but since I wear glasses while computing I actually AM clear-sighted. But I'm not nearly as flexible as a willow...I'm more like an old stump. Now, I've got this image of Donna's face on Grandma Willow from the Pocahontas movie, cackling happily while she sings to the woodland creatures...and the fish. Yes, I'm rambling...I've been sitting here all day bouncing between scrapping, blogging, quirking, digishoptalking, emailing, posting, organizing, figuring out things for the new SBG blog (shhhhh...that's a secret) and making sure my DD15 and the boy she has had over ALL day keep some daylight between them. Fortunately, her girlfriend Jessica is also here. Everything seems wholesome enough, but I will not give them the proverbial INCH for fear they will take that MILE "all the way." (She's not that kind of girl...but since I was, as we all well know, well, I have fears!) Okay, I'd better go clear this house out. It's time for the wee one to go to bed. And I mean ME!

OK, so I'm thinking I'm fitting in here - just look at what I started with this thread. Oh, if I have to make a choice I'll go with a gin martini, straight up, with 3 olives and make it a double while you are at it. I usually just stick with boring chardonnay because I really like that, the martini is for special occasions. I've never seen a chuckie doll movie. I have to admit, I absolutely cannot do the "scarey movie" thing. I never could figure out why those people are so dumb - they open the door, look in the basement, and go flitting around the house with out any electricity. And they always have stuff happening in storms. It just doesn't make sense...
Robin, I sure hope you don't have a herniated disk. Get better soon.
I've been perusing the gallery and I love this art. I'm getting all sorts of good inspiration and may even come up with something that I can add.
My grandsons are visiting so I'll have to catch up with things in between doing stuff with them. They might even inspire me to some quirkiness that I wouldn't even think of. Now I'm thinking....

Oh, I knew that doll reminded me of something! I watched about 10 min of one of those "Chucky" movies before I had to turn it off. I wasn't quick enough though, the image of that doll is still burned in my memory! As for the beverage question, I think that may be the answer to finding a quirky muse. My Gramma scrapper persona is still stuck on cute, maybe I need a few "belts" to get higher on the quirky scale. Is that the secret of the kindred? I am feeling your pain, Robin, literally. I have had a nasty pain in my neck for about a month. The xray says degenerative disk and joint disease. Oh goody, another disease! I do hope the pain goes away for both of us. It is cramping my style, that is for sure. Computer=neck pain, you know what I mean? Of course, it didn't help that I just spent over an hour looking at every single kit at Maya's and filling up my cart. How can one resist with that special kit offer. By the way, this is not advertising, it is enabling.

True story -- I had nightmares for weeks after watching the Chucky "commercials!"
I have degenerative disks in my neck, too, Cathy. Not fun.

Thanks Madge! I trust you wore your Majestic moniker well while I was away????? ;) It's so nice to be back. Although I'm a bit scared  to see how many lovely new things there are in the galleries (because I simply cannot comment on just one, I must leave comments for all of them). So I've only ventured back into the forums thus far...
