MAIL SWAP NOVEMBER 2007: Junk Mail

Junk mail, junk mail! Who doesn't get tons of junk mail? This month's ATC theme is based on junk mail. You may want to scan in some junk mail or create some in your program or attach some real junk mail bits and pieces to your digital creation after it's printed. Lots of ways to go with this theme.

If you want to play this month, send me an email (webchyck@comcast.net)with the subject: NOVEMBER SWAP. Please include your name, mailing address and email address (for you veterans, just reply to this thread saying you're participating...I have your info...unless it's changed). You have until midnight Eastern on November 7th to sign up. On the 8th everyone who has registered will receive a list of all the other artists with whom they will be trading. You will then have until November 30th to create, print, and mail your artist trading cards to the other participants. (Keep postal rates in mind before you sign up as you are responsible for mailing the cards yourself. If we have enough participants in a particular country, we can group them together, otherwise it will be an international endeavor.) Each swap group will have no more than...um...we don't know the upper limit yet! LOL! We like big groups and have been hovering around 15 participants each month. You may create one ATC based on the theme and replicate it for everyone or you may create unique ATCs to send out. You may also use any combination of paper and digital you like for this swap.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We do have a lot of information about Artist Trading Cards (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/forum/../articles/article_atc_becky_march2006.htm) in an an ARTicle in our Resource section that might answer any questions you have.

I will be setting this one out again, folks. I haven't felt very mojo-i-fied lately and am concentrating on some other things in my life right now. But I do hope you will have a blast, and I am more than happy to send out the mailing list when the time comes!

My cards went into the post box yesterday. I hope everyone gets them, the post here has been up the Orinoco since the postal strikes. I sent two letters, first class, on 17th October and neither of them reached their destinations... yet (she says, hopefully).

In my mail today was a bill for the car payment, a catalog, a health insurance memo from work, some junk and some happy junk (aka a card from Helen!--thank you for the good kind :) )

Actually Helen, that stamp is called the "forever" stamp here. You buy it at todays price and it will work for first class mail whenever you decide to use it. One postal worker said to buy them now, put them in the safe and leave them in your will, so your grandchildren will have them when mail is $3 an ounce. Right now, it's 41 cents! But yes, it is the Liberty Bell and it's neat. Glad you liked the stamps.
