I love vintage images. Whether they are vintage postcards, pictures of family members from long ago, or “adopted ancestors”. They are great for inspiring your digital art! My challenge is to make a LO using a vintage image in any format (eg. atc, 6x6, 12x12). There are lots of resources for downloadable images including these collected by MICHELLE THOMPSON (http://scrapability.squarespace.com/vintage-and-retro-images/). ROBYN (http://robynengland.com/adopt/) also has adopted ancestors available on her site.
Here is an example using an adopted ancestor QUIET PLEASE! (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=322&limit=recent)
a post civil war image EMILY (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=323&cat=503)
and an old picture of my Mom, PADDY (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=180&cat=500&ppuser=13). Have fun!

This is a fabulous challenge, Allison! I love it....and I'm going to do it with a vintage image of someone I do not know, because I usually know the person...that'll be different for me, and a way to come up with an even more creative layout because it leaves room for the imagination!!

Since I always use images of my own ancestors, I chose to adopt one. And since I could choose - I went for someone famous. LOL! Here's my ATC for this challenge: Walt Whitman (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=335&limit=last7)
