I'm so grateful to Carolyn for August's theme! We were discussing some art she had done and the subject of clocks and time came up, so I'm like, "Hey, that would be a great theme!" So, we're calling it The Time of Your Life figuring that would encompass things like clocks, calendars, seasons, or even just special moments in your life. Don't want to stifle anyone's creativity by being too defined in our themes, you know?

So, if you would like to participate in this snail mail ATC swap, please send an email to me (mailto:webchyck@comcast.net)with the subject: AUGUST SWAP. Please include your name, mailing address and email address. You have until midnight Eastern on August 7th to sign up. On the 8th everyone who has registered will receive a list of all the other artists with whom they will be trading. You will then have until August 31st to create, print, and mail your artist trading cards to the other participants. (Keep postal rates in mind before you sign up as you are responsible for mailing the cards yourself. If we have enough participants in a particular country, we can group them together, otherwise it will be an international endeavor.) Each swap group will have no more than 9 participants (including yourself). You may create one ATC based on the theme and replicate it for everyone or you may create nine unique ATCs to send out. You may also use any combination of paper and digital you like for this swap.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to TAKE A MINUTE and jot me a note! We do have a lot of information about Artist Trading Cards in an an ARTicle in our Resource section (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/articles/article_atc_becky_march2006.htm) that might answer any questions you have.

I'm looking forward to this swap...counting down the seconds until I receive your card!

I'm having second thoughts about this. Hour we supposed to stop messing about? I'm in a daze, going weak at the knees.

On the other hand, minute changes may be necessary. I 'era noise, I think it is thunder again.

Isn't it funny when you lend someone your glue and then when you ask for the tube back it is completely empty? Time to get some more. I'm not annoyed, just a little bit ticked off. (I did tock to him about it and he said sorry)

Man goes into a bar with an enormous amphibian on his shoulder
"Can I have a beer and one for Tiny?"
"Why do you call him Tiny? He's huge"
"because he's my newt!"
