This is MAD Mission #4.... Songs and their Meanings...

Music and songs can be powerfully emotional forces in our lives. They can stir up in us a multitude of memories and feelings.

So your mission for this challenge is to produce a piece of art that speaks to this theme...

My personal example has no memory pictured in the piece...the memory is the song lyrics themselves...the feelings of the memories are in the visuals...

You are perfectly free to interpret this mission as you like, but please come back and post a link here so we can all see your piece and enjoy your work!!

Oh this is a great mission! I am a big fan of using music and lyrics in my layouts. In fact I have a couple I just might post for this as soon as I get a chance.

I've had this one floating around in me noggin for a bit, and it fits with this challenge. I am a huge music fan, so I imagine the majority of my stuff is inspired by music in some way.

Thanks for playing with us, Krista, and welcome to Quirk Kingdom!! I'm thinking you must be a natural at Quirk art, if that was your first quirk piece!! I'm excited to see what you do next!! :)

I am totally into this!!!
I like Chinook's idea of a whole deck of cards for one song so I will definately be doing this too!
This is the 1st card for the 1st song (I have a few in mind)
'Missing Person' by Michael W. Smith:

I just had to share that the photographer of the mountain picture that I used in my Landslide LO came over here to check out what I'd done and was appropriately impressed! LOL! He had one of those "must notify" notices on his photos, so I PM'd him and he was glad to let me use it for this purpose. Whew! So, don't forget to ask/notify on those Stock Exchange photos if it's required. I'm sure most people are very nice about it. And if they're not, well, there are plenty of images left in the sea to choose from, right?

Becky, I always notify them that wants it and sometimes even them that don't. Morgue file people, too. For many of them it is their first trip to a scrapping site (re my SA posts). I would say 95% have written back to say something and it is usually supportive.

P.S. I used that percentage instead of "the majority" or whatever because I have heard that you use percentages and everything!

I wonder why the other 5 out of 100 don't write? (That's another way of saying 5%...for those of you that are mathematically challenged.)

Gee, if I were paranoid, I would think that comment was directed at moi.... mathematically challenged indeed. No wonder I was confused about my number of posts not equaling a new title... LOLOL.

What is this numbering thing of which you speak?

What is this numbering thing of which you speak?

Here, Robyn: http://www.digitalartquirks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204

It took to 1005 for me to become a Quirk-a-holic. Go figure.

Hmmm ... I flipped right at 1005. The number gods must have had your number!

Dear Robyn, did you mean to say you flipped right at 1000? Or am I just a little loofah-ed right now?

Dear Webchyk, I suspect that a small number of the number that don't write back (I will not attempt to insert a figure because I think Krista is watching this thread) may not speak or read English. Alternatively, they may be devastated by what I have done with their images and are so gobsmacked that they are speechless.

Um - yeah! ROFL! I am also number challenged!

There are people in the world who do not speak or read English? What happened to the New World Order? I thought it was supposed to correct that!

I have to admit I've never heard this song, but I found the lyrics on the web and they hit a chord. Here's my layout: http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=1079&cat=500&ppuser=50

My contribution to this challenge

This is basically a group of my college friends at a bbq a couple of years ago, I chose Oasis Wonderall because I was absolutely in love with the song during the time of the bbq.
