I thought it would be fun to think of ways to give my art away, instead of making people frame my work, hihi. I thought it would be fun to make little printed gift bags.
if anyone wants the pattern just mail me and I sent it to ya. maybe we can come up with more patterns, for people to use.
have fun
nicole
instructions are on the pattern in the gallery

Fabulous idea! What a unique gift bag that would be. I think a gift box would also work for this!

Nicole, what kind of paper are you printing these on? What is a glue strip? Is this something I buy at a scrapbooking store?

that are the parts that you wont see when the bag is glued together, you can use regular glue to glue the bag together. It is best to print these on thicker cardstock to make them sturdier, available at a scrapbookstore for sure, but maybe also in an office supply store.
first print the bag, then fold all the lines and glue the bag together. punch holes in the top, to make something where you can hold the bag. I did not make holes in it so everybody can decide where they make their holes.
accesoirise with beads or fibers.
hope this helps.

Just to give you Quirks a heads-up, we're using Nicole's template as our Studio Starts challenge at Studio Matters starting tomorrow. Nicole graciously allowed us to use her template. I converted it to PSD, so a person could just lay a paper over the layer intended to be decorated (the glue strips are on a separate layer now), hit CTRL-G (in Photoshop), and then link and merge those two layers. All other embellishments could then be added on new layers. We'll have several examples on the blog tomorrow (8/18). Hope you'll check it out!

Becky, is the Jones Candy Tin contest still rolling or did I miss that completely? Finally found some to play with.
And Nicole, these bags are beautiful! What a wonderful idea! The gift wrap will be as treasured as the gift! Thank you for sharing the template!

Sorry...the Jones Candy Tin contest is over! It ran for three weeks and we only had one entry! boo hoo! But she was a grateful winner!
I just bought some more of that candy today...my DD loves putting the tablets in diet Coke! LOL! Then, I'll have some more to play with.
Those darn tins were hard to find!
