To our new friends, never worry about when you join a challenge - you don't have to start at number one, you don't have to get it done before the next challenge is done... we're pretty flexible and many of us "scrap" when the Muse is with us. The challenges are prompts, not whips to beat you. :)

When I first found DAQ, it was the American summer and everyone had gone on holiday. So I stumbled around the challenge forum and started completing the old challenges myself - it gave me a wonderful play time and it sparked a few people's interest, which is how we came to have the New Stock Photo challenge series.

Every now and then someone will get something stuck in their heads and think "I'll invite everyone else to join in". I did a series where I invited everyone to do a layout about a chicken saying and those that wanted to joined in.

Bottom line is - if you'd like to participate, it's never too late. If you have a new fancy or something that you'd like to see everyone else try, set up an impromptu challenge. It doesn't matter if you're new or one of the "founding members" - join in! :)

I just love this place!

There are lots of times that I really like the challenges that are out there, but because of time or lack of inspiration, I never get them completed. Thanks for letting my creative spirit breathe!

Oh, so well said, Edeena. And I'd like to add just one thing. For the most part, it's a customary courtesy when we post something that we take the time to comment on the work of our fellow artists, and that's led to forming a sort of sisterhood of quirks. It's a place you like to come to in the morning with your second cup of coffee to share what you've done and "visit" with your friends! I've searched and searched, and there's no other site exactly like DAQ. We thank Maya for giving us this forum!
