This month's theme - Periodic Table of Elements. Have you looked at that chart since you were in school?! Here's one in case it's been awhile:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v614/pkeflin/7445-004-6D310733.gif
Take an element or two or more and incorporate it into your card in some way. You need not have been good in science subjects to participate!!

If you want to play this month, send me an email (pkeflin@hotmail.com)with the subject, or a PM (Private Message): NOVEMBER ATC SWAP. Please include your name, mailing address and email address (for you veterans, just reply to this thread saying you're participating...I have your info...unless it's changed). You have until midnight Eastern on NOVEMBER 7th to sign up. On the 8th everyone who has registered will receive a list of all the other artists with whom they will be trading. You will then have until November 30th (um, or later!) to create, print, and mail your artist trading cards to the other participants. (Keep postal rates in mind before you sign up as you are responsible for mailing the cards yourself. If we have enough participants in a particular country, we can group them together, otherwise it will be an international endeavor.) Each swap group will have no more than...um...we don't know the upper limit yet! LOL! We like big groups, though we have been hovering around 8-10 participants each month. You may create one ATC based on the theme and replicate it for everyone or you may create unique ATCs to send out. You may also use any combination of digital and hybrid you like for this swap.
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We do have a lot of information about Artist Trading Cards (http://www.digitalartquirks.com/articles/article_atc_becky_march2006.htm) in an ARTicle in our Resource section that might answer any questions you have.
Looking forward to another swap with you all!! Okay, who's in?

Funny, but in homeschooling our daughter, we have just started with the elements. Fun choice! Thanks, Pam, I can't wait to play!

Blessings,

Laurel

LOL Kim I can beat you - mine are printed, glued and ready to post, pretty amazing really as I have no idea about Chemistry :o

PamPie

I already have mine designed too (for once)...but I haven't printed or anything - impressive, Helen!

Holy Doodle Helen! Wow! Mine were designed almost immediately but that shouldn't lead anyone to suspect that they won't be printed out and assembled the night of November 29 and mailed on the 30th. Sigh.

Well I'll have to Google periodic tables to know what I'm doing, but count me in.

Thank you!

OK I have just realised that I missed the message about the revised list - so Cindy I haven't sent one to you yet :(

This will be rectified tomorrow so yours will arrive a bit later. I had a feeling something was wrong when Pam said 9 and then there were 8 on the list. Better late than never :)

Ann, your card arrived today - what a nice treat as I was sick at home today - thank you - it's Super!

Ooops have I missed someone? I too only sent out 8 ATCs.

PamPie
11-26-2008, 02:13 PM
The total number is 9 - so sending out 8 is correct, and keeping one for yourself! I sent out the mailing lists on the 8th and a revised list within about 24 hours of that - they both went to your PM boxes. Did everyone get those? And there is a list of participants in the very first post of this thread. I apologize for the confusion!

Helen, your card arrived here in Denver yesterday - thank you, thank you!

Hi Pam

I should have said I 'made' 8, so only 7 went out. I now see that in your very first post you did include 9 and I see I should have included Cindy.

Would it be possible to get Cindy's address?

I regularly delete PMs so haven't got the revised one. So, so sorry.

Certanly - I'll send it now! And if anyone else needs any addied, let me know!

I have received some very clever and unique cards in the mail!
Thank you, Pam, Helen and Ann - your cards are outstanding!!

I apologize for the delay in mine. They won't make it out the door before the end of the month

Sort of. I have the envelopes labelled and stamped and I have fronts and I have backs. Now, if the fronts and backs would just get matched up and inserted in said envelopes, they would be mailed on the 30th. Which means, after many a long tedious renovation sob story, I am FINALLY back on track and my swapping has "normalized". We give praise.

I sent my ATCs to be printed, however they turned out to be ¼ to small. Back to the drawing board. Today I sent them again…perfection! I will be sending out my ATCs and CDs at the same time.

I have received 4 ATCs so far…thank you Laurel, Helen, Pam and Ann. They are so unique and clever!

OK... I see the confusion and now I am part of it. I never had Cindy on my list. The good news is that I made an extra, so I can send her one! Yay!

I am loving the cards that I have received. Wonderful! I love the silver, the kryptonite and the Helen's lovely representation.

Happy day!!

Cool! I had to google Rutherfordium, I had no idea. I guess it is a little well known than Kryptonite ;) I am not sure if I mentioned I got Helen's card too? Impressed with all the cut out letters and love the lacey overlay on the back.

What a surprise and only you would think of something like that for the periodic table. Great ATC!

And I love the card that the ATC came in, too.

Thank you.

I had to fight off the urge to put strings on it somewhere but decided that crossed the line into bad taste. Felt like I was flirting with that line in the first place.

I hit the jackpot yesterday in the mail...3 cards!

Kim, I was anticipating your card since you told me your plans during our last visit. You did not disappoint! Laughing out loud at your string comment...I have a visual LOL! Your Christmas card is beautiful, thank you!

Victoria, thank you for your cute and quirky chemistry lesson. Love it!

Kimmie, love how the "eye" indicates the first word in the quote. Your card is brilliant! Thank you!

This is proving to be a very interesting collection of cards. Mine leave today, so they should start arriving in mailboxes early next week. December cards are included!!

There was a Treasure Trove in my Mailbox today. Cards from Pam (clever and thoughtful as always), and Kim (clever and quirky as always). I love them both thankyou. Kim could I add a Menopausal Rage Level LOL

I also received my first December Peace DATC from my friend Lee in my Art Group who `plays along' each month. Lee was inspired by the `Imagine Peace Memorial Tower' in Iceland which was conceived by Yoko Ono in her 75th Year as a tribute to John Lennon. I cannot believe this woman is 75, she still looks about 30. How does she do it?

Anyway this is so inspiring and my card is really special.

BTW Pam the stamps are wonderful :)

Pam I love your interpretation and the card is beautiful.

Kim, yours is so quirky and I lurve it lots.

Victoria, yours is a hoot and it's brilliant.

Thank you to you all.
