Anyone in the Mood to Do a Magnet Swap?

Cleaning off the refrigerator the other day, I noticed that some of the magnets from our last swap are starting to fade. I think it must be a sign that it's time to do another swap.

Here's how it works:



Sign up here and send me a PM with your home address by Friday, Feb. 6.
I'll distribute a list of participants and their addresses to everyone who signs up.
Create a magnet for each of the participants (all the same or varied designs -- it's up to you). Your magnet can be any size or shape you desire. The easiest way to do this is to purchase pre-cut magnet paper that will run through your printer.
Mail your magnets by Friday, March 6, and watch your mailbox for wonderful pieces of refrigerator art.

As for a theme, let's do something with flowers.

Whilst sorting out the cupboards, a few weeks ago, i found some printable magnet sheets. Can't remember where and when I bought them. Count me in, I'd love to have a play. No one on the list with a pacemaker is there????

Kimmie, you can find printable magnet sheets at any office supply store (I think I bought mine at Wal-Mart). It comes in full sheets that you can cut with scissors, or pre-cut sheets for printing business card-sized magnets. Another option is to buy magnets from the craft section and attach them to your art. I've made magnets using a variety of materials, e.g. cheap clear plastic frames, glass pebbles, and chipboard. They all work well.

Oh, I can't wait. When I placed a photo order with ArtsCow this month, I discovered coupons for free magnet printing, so I sent them my design. I just hope they show up before our deadline. They're a great company, but it takes a long time for things to be delivered from Hong Kong.

Sounds fun, but I'm out on this one. Printer problems, and have to go shopping for a new one, plus getting my computer room painted. I've been going to some Creative Writing workshops, as well, so my plate's a bit full at the moment. You guys enjoy!

My printer died, so I haven't been able to print anything, but today I got a new little Epson to replace the one I got from Dad. I feel so sad that i am having to give up something he spent many happy hours with, but to be practical, if you can't print anything yellow, it is a bit limiting.

My new baby Epson prints quite well, though it wsn't 100% happy with the thickness of magnet paper, but it has managed in the end, so the magnets will go out next week.

I can honestly say that my refrigerator hasn't looked this good in a long time. I love all the flower magnets I've gotten so far.

My magnets and last 3 months of ATCs have gone out today.

I can't wait for the "real" thing (Spring) to finally arrive. I'm so tired of cold, cold and more cold.

Cold! Girl, you don't know cold. LOL You remind of the singer on American Idol from Puerto Rico who was complaining about the freezing temps in Hollywood. It's 78 degrees there.

Of course I'm only picking on you, Victoria, because I'm jealous. The low this week here was about 13 degrees, but we're looking highs in the 60s by the end of the week. It's just crazy. No wonder everyone around here is sick.

Donna, I'm so glad you like the magnet. I got the magnet sheets (8.5 x11) at Staples, ran it through my computer with the Glossy Photo Paper setting and cut them out with my regular scissors.

I think the hardest part of this challenge was coming up with the design for the magnet.

I look at the magnet's I've received (and thank you ladies), and I'm so amazed at the different designs and artistry of each one.

I also have a file just for the notes you all send me along with the stamps. I using the stamps to collage a wood box.
