We're all artists here - I gain inspiration from y'all everyday - but I'm wondering... what do you do with your art? Do you sell it somewhere? Simply file it away? Ect?

What a nice segue into my shopping spree. Purchased: Modge Podge (a first); a Brayer (expensive! but if Alison has one, I want one); Glue Dots (not sure why but everyone seems to have them). I am planning on printing out my Rolodex swap cards (again) and putting them onto the cards and filing them! Last week I printed them and butchered them trying to cut/punch holes so now I am going to work around that.

I bought a set of 4 frames ( three 12 x 12 and one 11 x 17) that I had made for my office. I put some of my pieces in there.

I have some albums and some go in there.

I bought Lie Fhung's Calendar Template and I am going to try to use that for some of my pieces.

Every year I do a calendar for Christmas.

I am starting to explore real world applications: there is a neat bag template here and I am thinking greeting cards, book marks etcetera.

Hope you are not sorry you asked! I can't wait to see other posts. There are bound to be some interesting responses.

Well, my digi art stays mostly on my computer - as a designer, some it does get sold (which amazes me everytime, I have to tell you - people want to buy MY stuff?)

I wish I had access to all the cool craft toys you guys in the States have - like those picture bracelet thigns and slide mounts, and glass slides etc - if I can manage to get hold of them here, they are super pricey.

However, this year, I have decided to make some fridge magnets out of old CD's, using Eli's school photo (it's her first) - I'll use some of my real paper scrapping stuff (not I paper scrap, I use it for altered art, and cards etc) and some of my digi stuff - will definitely post when I have them done - I even bought some metal CD tins to put the the finished CD in!

I have all my art printed at a proffesional photo lab, on regular picture size, the ones I realy like I have them enlarged and they are hanging in my house. The printed pictures (I mostly design on A4 size "letter size") so they are no problem printing small and enlarging. It is not expensive to have them printed and I can carry them around in a little slip in album. The atc I have them printed too (two on a page) cut them out and keep them in my atc album.
I dont sell mine, since I mostly work with pictures of my own kids. And when I make others I just give them away.

two weeks ago I tried a cross stich program for free for 4 days, and made one of my art pieces into a cross stich pattern. I am making a pillow of that, I will put it in the gallery when it is done.

I've framed a few pieces, made magnets, and did several little books as gifts. The majority of my work resides on my computer where I gaze at it fondly. Turns out, I love to begin projects, but hate to finish them.

Karin.... do you plan to cut out the holes in the CDs??????? Please take some pictures of the finished product and post. I'm very curious.

I'm trying to complete a series of Lisa tags. Plan on printing front & back then laminating. Looking for a ring of some sort. What I create is solely for me so I'm bad about sharing. The Quirkland see more of what I create than those around me.

Bonnie, no I don't intend to cut out the holes - at this stage - LOL

For your tags, how about these:

hihi just keeping busy, It is a computer program you can try for 4 days, and it allows you to convert your picyures into a cross stich pattern, then you go buy all the yarn and start cross stitching, well I had to because my computer was out for service.:)

I have an ATC album for swaps, a small album which I use for my own ATCs and tags, a heritage album and I am just waiting for delivery of a hard-backed book about my recent holiday (28 pages). I have even been known to frame photographs, but I haven't framed any artwork yet - well, to be fair, I have only been doing this since June.

I have used photos to make CD covers when I have made copies of photos to archive, with a picture from inside the CD to remind me what is in it LOL. You can get CD shaped paper here with push-out holes for the centres.

I made my own luggage tags out of my butterfly tags, which I printed and laminated, and I have just made a couple of book-marks out of a tag in which I turned my sister (then aged about 4) into a fairy with one of my butterflies' wings
