I have a lot of errands in the morning, so I'm giving you a head start on this week's Tech Challenge. This week, let's play with selective colorization. It's an easy technique that can provide dramatic results. Robert Redwood has one of the best tutorials I've found, http://www.easyelements.com/selective-colorization.html.

He also has a great article on getting sepia effects for those of you who are interested.

Note: Because we're working in many different versions of Photoshop and Elements, your program may vary from the one in the tutorial. If you run into a wall, just post and we'll try to walk you through it.

I can only speak for myself, Donna, but I'm loving the tutorials! I've started a notebook, and I've learned more from the two so far than I did from the three "comprehensive" instruction books I have lying about.

Of course, I had to quirk it up a little. Here's mine: http://www.digitalartquirks.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6347&cat=576

I didn't quirk mine at all, just gave it a red border. I had trouble finding a photo that lended itself to this exercise, but here's my effort.

I enjoyed trying this technique. I've done it before, but I forgot about it.
