ATC Mail Swap April 2009 - Altered Self Portrait

Pam passed me the list of suggestions for upcoming ATC challenges and I took a fancy to the idea of a Self Portrait ATC, so how about taking it one step further and making it an Altered Self Portrait ATC? We could really have some fun with this one and absolutely anything goes!

If you want to play this month, send me an email to (himandme1@tiscali.co.uk)with the subject, or a PM (Private Message): APRIL ATC SWAP. Please include your name, mailing address and email address. You have until midnight British Summer Time on APRIL 7th to sign up. On the 8th everyone who has registered will receive a list of all the other artists with whom they will be trading. You will then have until the end of April (um, or later!) to create, print, and mail your artist trading cards to the other participants.

(Keep postal rates in mind before you sign up as you are responsible for mailing the cards yourself.)

You may create one ATC based on the theme and replicate it for everyone or you may create unique ATCs to send out. You may also use any combination of digital and hybrid you like for this swap.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask (and I'll ask Pam:eek:) .

We do have a lot of information about Artist Trading Cards in an ARTicle in our Resource section that might answer any questions you have.

No, the little self portrait I did a few weeks ago was for a Flickr challenge (Make it Mondays possibly). I'd hope to never show a current ATC on my blog until all recipients had received it, as some of my Quirk friends go to my blog regularly.

The one I'm doing for this month's challenge here at Quirks is a new one entirely and a proper ATC.

Wow I've finished my April ATC. Should be ready to cut and put together tomorrow, and be posted within the week. Phew!!!

Ann, I am sorry...what I meant is that you have an example of an altered self portrait on your blog. I too would never post my ATC's until everyone has received their cards. I wouldn't want to ruin the fun.

I would have loved to join in this month, but I am too late to sign up. Maybe it isn't a bad thing, I have some health problems at the moment. More than the usual ones, I mean. Hopefully will have better news in a couple of weeks when the biopsy is done and reported.
