Our New Quirky Crew

I'm so excited to announce that we have a new creative team here at Digital Art Quirks. They've put their heads together to bring you all kinds of new challenges and activities. Here's a quick preview.


Already, we've started a new "Artist's Studio" challenge that will provide a varied altered arts challenge each week. Marie (Ozstuff) has agreed to co-host this with me.
"The Artist's Way" workshop starts Oct. 1.
Kim (Nevermore) is going to provide a new feature called "Off Screen" where she'll urge us to get our art off the screen and into our homes, and daily lives. Look for this to start Oct. 2.
Ann (Yorkshire Lass) will continue to host the monthly ATC swap.
Juli (Artist in Residence) and Lumi (Lumilyon) are exploring ideas for new challenges, and learning activities.
Jayne (Peppapig) is starting a new challenge where we'll alter works of art. It starts Sunday.
And, last but not least, Victoria (Mizamigo) has volunteered to be my administrative assistant, and to host upcoming swaps.

The new challenges look great! What a nice way to enter into the dreary wet season (except of course if you are down under where you are probably entering the happy wet season?)

to be a part of this wonderful community and I love being able to help Donna and give her some support and "free" time.

I do want to know what types of swaps you are interested in. I think digital would be nice because that way we all get the files and can then print when we get the time.

I was thinking of:

Rolodex (it was a swap here before-and we can do it again if you want it)
Postcard (digital for this since postage is a bear)
6x6 pages for a "small book" (something new to try-most are hybrid; but we'll do digital)
bookmark (1.5" x 6.5")
Collage (something to think about and develop if people want to do this)

Anything else????

They all sound good to me Victoria, especially the digital ones.

I'm going to make the November ATC challenge a digital swap and then take suggestions from there.

Loving that 'things' are hotting up.
