If you've been around Digital Art Quirks for long, then you know that I love nothing better than taking vintage photos and altering them digitally. So I'm being totally self-indulgent this week and challenging you to create an Altered Ancestor.
I found a nice little e-book this morning that has lots of great ideas, mostly using traditional tools, that you can adapt. It's Artella Mae's NEW Altered Ancestors!: 50 Techniques for Using Vintage Photos in Art. (http://artellaland.com/giveaway-AlteredAncestorsEbook.html)
And if you're looking for a source of vintage photos, my favorite site has to be Art-Zine (http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk/vintageresources.html).
I can't wait to see your work. Please post in the Artist's Studio gallery and link back here.
