Yes, another trip to Michaels. This time I bought chalk, brads and metal word art.

So, here I am on Sunday morning, the office is a tip. Why is real life stuff so darn messy? Old xyron adhesive skin shed like a snake curling on the floor, little corner punch pellets dribbled around, chalk dust everywhere.

After few false starts (was practicing punching holes for the brad, realised the "waste paper" was actually the ATC backs, ugh!) got three done. Bradded, adhered, chalked. And then the corner punch. Okay, can't fit it into the corner punch all around because of the brads. Okay, punch three. On every single one of them, two perfect punches and then KABOOM a nibbled bit. Now, folks, having to brad and chalk has upped the ante mightily and no way am I going to redo those cards! So, in a fit of pique, I HEREBY DECLARE THE NIBBLED CORNER PUNCH TO BE THE MARK OF AN ORIGINAL NEVERMORE ATC.

Don't be fooled by pale imitations. If it doesn't look completely chewed up, it ain't a Nevermore.

P.S. My bradded cards won't fit in my card envelopes. I'm telling you, real life is gonna kill me.

I think we need a new forum called Nevermore! Your adventures would make an excellent and hilareous read for anyone frustrated with the crafting process! The best part is that you and your projects seem to come out fine in the end!!

I am trying to get the girl to write one of her amusing anecdotes for the SBG blog...she said she would...but I think her fingers have stuck together from the Xyron bits. Perhaps SHE doesn't think her anecdotes ARE actually amusing, but WE sure do!

Well, I sure hope you feel bad Becky Troxel when I tell you that I have spent the last three hours as follows:

1. Cutting down Glad Sandwich bags to fit my ATCs in (they don't fit in sleeves when they have c*** on them!)
2. Addressing 12 Magnet Swap Envelopes and 7 ATC Envelopes and filling them
3. Collating all my emails that tell my ATC stories so I can edit it and send it to Studio Matters

I have found everything except my story about buying the sleeves, still looking for that one. It runs a hearty 5 pages in word so I am hauling out the red pencil.

Becky, I swear some day I will have a cool scraproom w/a chandelier in it, just like yours.

Kim, I really think you should have your own blog for these writings. I predict a cult following will ensue.

Haven't you heard, Debra, she eschews blogs! Besides, don't give her any ideas...I need her as my own private humorist on the SBG blog! (Her debut is TUESDAY!)

Hey that'll work. SBG has the nuttiest funnest newsletter out there so Kim will fit right in.

Tuesday's entry will be familiar to most of us...but just in case you missed parts of the saga, having it all in one place is going to crack you up. It might be a case of "you had to be there," but WE will all know and remember, and I for one, felt like I was going to pee my pants re-reading Kim's misadventures!

I'm so glad Kim decided to go on the blog - her musings are hilarious!! :)

Yikes, I hope people do think it is funny. When I was putting it together it sure didn't seem funny to me--if I wasn't me, I wouldn't have much patience with me. I have no choice.

Lisa, I really did have to cut the bags down, even the smallest snack size was too tight to fit in the envelope. Didn't want to make it poofy or you know who will get an even puffier head than she has thinking I am copy catting her.

Kim, I got your fridge magnets - thank you thank you.

I liked how you packaged them in the nice square envelope. There was a card w/a note about how the card was supposed to be a project too but who has the time. It cracked me up as did looking a the rounded corners and imagining her mishaps w/the corner cutter.
