Well as some of you might know, I love books. I got a few hihi while I was in the states, these are my favourites because they come with a cd packed full of goodies to use in your lay-outs. The books have ready made pages in them you can tear out and use but also a cd with all the items in jpeg format 250 dpi for you to use digital. Just love these. I bought these at michaels at the book section, there are different ones. I got

memories of a lifetime - alphabets & ornaments - anna corba - price 14,95
and
Instant memories - travel - ready to use scrapbook pages - anna corba. price 14,95

so cool, specialy all the old, vintage stuff you can use the way you want it for paper and digital work.

Oh Nicole, thanks for bringing these books to my attention. Just last week I was introduced to Anna by Fiddlette's altered challenge at ScrapArtist.

I love the Dover books that come with CDs as well for this same reason.

Now speaking of other books, hummmmmmm I got a nice parcel from Amazon.com yesterday. I just love getting books in the post and actually buying them from the US through Amazon in most cases even with the freight on them is cheaper than getting them here from a store in NZ. I don't mind 2nd hand books and mostly they are in really good condition.

Anyway the ones I got yesterday where new ones :)

Collage Unleashed by Tracie Bautista. I just love the way this book is layed out and it comes with permission to use graphic provided in it along with a few templates to photocopy etc.
Visual Chronicles by Linda Woods & Karen Dinino. This was the one I originally wanted of the first two but on seeing them I actually like the Tracie Bautista Collage Unleashed way better as it is more textile orientated.
Digital Illustration by Lawrence Zeegen. This has some amazing grungy style 60s - 70s style commercial artwork in it along with some step by step illustrations of how several things where done using Photoshop. I have got a promise from Nick that he will get me Photoshop for my birthday, at academic prices due to me being a teacher of course

I'm off to play some more with my sewing machine and some died tissues to day I think ..... see ya. :)

Thanks for those book recommendations. The last one sounds really interesting - and it is even available at amazon.de for very little. Great find.

Nicole, you might want to look on the amazon.de site, if there is no Dutch branch. I always buy American or British books on .de, they are quite cheap and postage is nothing or low (probably even to NL). They have almost everything you could get on .com.
